"I'm about 2.5 years old..."

Mostly in West-Timor, the villagers still use leaves and woods to build their house.

It is quite interesting to see that actually the island is full of rocks,

but the use of stones as building material are not preferable.

A small house of an old man in Timor Island was built by himself.

According to the villagers, his hut is the nicest one there.

In front of it, there's a terrace where I saw some bottles of beer.

At the back, a small room as toilet is built few meters away from the house.

I just realize how high the rice plantation is,

and how tall the palm trees are,

since I made this picture.

The difference is that

the rice grass will be bent down when getting more seeds,

while the palm trees keep standing straight and self-confident.
